Elliot Boots TQ's and
WINS the 2009 Champion Of Champions
Rallycross

Ed Kerry TQ's and WINS
the 2009 Champion of Champions Truggies
Well what a truly
awesome event and I can assure you all
those drivers out there who didnt get to
race you really missed out big time.
This was a totally new concept to racing
and extremely well received by all
competitors who had traveled from pretty
much all over the UK to do battle on
behalf of there local series namely "
SRS (Southern reigonal Series), 8th - 09
(Midlands Series), Swords ( Southern
Series ) and NRS (Northern regional
Series). I decided to travel up on the
Saturday evening to meet up with Glyn
Morgan who runs the 8th-09 series to get
all the bits and bobs sorted out for the
following days racing.
After booking into the
nights accommodation we headed to the
refreshment center aka the bar to have a
drink before dinner. After a swift pint
is was feeding time order for dinner was
a mixed grill followed by a huge fruit
salad for Glyn

After our dining
experience which was something straight
out of faulty towers we chilled out in
the refreshment center where we were
soon joined by a whole bunch of racers
from Swords, 8th-09 and NRS and the
banter etc ensued with the predictions
coming thick and fast as to who was
going to achieve what in the following
days race. What a great bunch of guys
and girls and a total pleasure to meet
them all. The stage was set and it was
now about grabbing some sleep before the
big day.
dawn sprung rather
sooner than many people would have liked
me included having set my alarm a tad
earlier than i would have liked to watch
the GP on tv it wasn't long before that
knock came as Glyn was ready to go and
we were off to HNMC the track playing
host to the first ever Champion of
Champions event with people arriving and
setting up we got race control kitted
out so that it was looking like
something from a call center laptops
wifi printer etc
Time to start with the
formalities and onto race briefing

A nice friendly cuddle
to start the day off ( How Cool Is That)
Enough of that its
time to start racing and bang on 9am
(told you so Glyn) we were off with heat
one of the 2009 Champion of Champions
with track conditions fantastic after a
light soaking the previous eve it was
set to be one hell of a good days
racing.
Round one was taken by
Brennan Ralls with his Xray 808 powered
by a OS Speed and running Proline
Bowfighter M2 compound
