Greg And Joe Take Round 3

 

 

The Race Central Series returned this year back to DRCORC in the Heart of Derby,

this has been the 2^nd time that the Race Central Series has been to the track

But with a big change too Last year was a Mixed Dirt/Astro track

So this year we had a surprise for every one …. Redesigned Fully Astro track

With Sweeping fast bends, large table top

 

 

So with the Sunny day ahead for us up to 30c temps it was Hot!

Ok let’s get on with the Report

With Jim Davis and Greg Hill in the top trying to out pace each other it was going to be close,

 Greg Hill was on form with his top laps and fast lap times and In truggies Joe Proved to be the top Dog with First Blood Going to the LRP Team Driver

Round 2 saw Carl Richards pull something nice out of the bag in round 2 driving his new Xray 808 '10'Spec and with Greg again taking a commanding Role with now 2 FTDS under his belt the scene would be set for that Final important Round

Round 3 and its all safe for Joe in Truggies with a full 100% 3 in a row if he had pulled his Finger out in Practice it would have been the Magical Clean Sweep, Stan Pulled round 3 out of the bag to give him a good placing in the final standings with a 3rd and 2nd being used for his Placing, in Buggy Again Greg took the Win to also give him the 3 of a kind but again the Magical Clean Sweep was just missed

Well with all the entertainment with the Heats ... We had a Little of our own Entertainment with the Generator Stalling and Running Out of Oil and the Speakers deciding to Play "First you can hear me Now you Carnt"

Ohhh Well......

 

Finals started at 3pm  with the format being reduced Slightly to take into account the minor issues through the day Finals Being

A Finals being 20min, BCD Finals being 15min,  E F G 10min

Knowing that this would take up to  around 7pm Finish with 120 drivers booked

and hope and pray the Finals will run without any problem

One final restart due to drivers being eager to race... racing got going

For picking DRCORC to host Round 3 of the 8^th-10 Series

It is the first time we as a club to hold a meeting of 120 drivers

And I hope we can do the same Next Year
